Bison One Card

The Bison One Card is the official University ID card for active or registered students, faculty, and staff and must be carried while on University property.

University affiliates actively sponsored by a Howard University department, school or college may be issued a Bison One Card. Many buildings require the card for access. This card is the property of Howard University and is governed by the rules and regulations set forth by the University. The Bison One Card is not transferable and must not be used by anyone other than the issued cardholder.

The Bison One Card Office is scheduling appointments for services.  Please do not come to the Bison One Card Office without a confirmed appointment.

Students

As a new student, when picking up the initial Bison One Card, you are required to bring a valid US government issued ID or a valid Passport. As a Student Employee your primary role is Student, you will not receive a title of Faculty, Staff, Contractor, or Temporary on your Bison One Card.

Faculty/Staff

New faculty and staff will onboard through Human Resources. Following the completion of the onboarding process, PeopleSoft will generate your Employee ID Number. When your record is available in the Bison One Card System, you will be able to upload your ID photo through a self-service form. Please bring with you a valid Photo ID, which can be an US government issued ID License, State ID, or Passport. Upon receipt of your Faculty/Staff Bison One Card, you will receive access to email, Peoplesoft, and other Howard University systems as required.

Bison One Card Office

From dining to entertainment, your Bison One Card is your official University ID card and your pass to many vital campus amenities and services. It also gives you more retail options to choose from off-campus.
