Barnes & Noble at Howard University is conveniently located on Main Campus and West Campus and offers textbooks, school supplies, Howard spirit gear, clothing, gifts, and general merchandise. Howard University bookstores also coordinate programs for ordering Convocation and Commencement regalia and class rings.

The Adoption & Insights Portal (AIP) is a centralized source for researching, adopting, and sharing insights about textbooks and course materials. The Textbook Integration Program, available through the bookstore websites, instantly populates a student’s online shopping cart with a custom list of books based on their schedule. Book Voucher Program

Book Voucher

You can make purchases at the Howard University Bookstore with your Book Voucher account. Your Book Voucher account is accessible via your Bison One Card. 
Transfer excess funds from your student account into your Book Voucher account.

We recommend that you allow up to 2 hours for the request to be received and funds available.  Please check your balance by logging into Bison One Card eAccounts.

Book Scholarships

For Students with book scholarships (i.e. STEM, Presidential, Athletes) please review your award package to know how much of your transfer request will be covered by your book scholarship.

Request Book Voucher

  1. Book Voucher Transfer Request
    1. Go to BisonWeb (Student Services tab)
  2. Check your Book Voucher balance
    1. Go to BisonCard eAccounts
  3. Make your purchase at the Howard University Bookstore with your BisonCard or your Student ID Number (online)
    1. Go to Howard University Bookstore 
      1. In Checkout select BisonCard and provide your Student ID Number as the Card Number

Dates & Info

Dates: August 14, 2023 - September 9, 2023

Note: Unused book vouchers will be returned to your non-athletic student account 1-2 weeks after the end date of book vouchers, but if you want to have this completed at any point please send a request to onecard@howard.edu (include your Student ID Number). Athletic students who had monies placed in their Athletic Book Voucher account do not receive a credit that is refundable.
