Resident Dining

Campus Dining’s dining halls, Bethune Annex Cafe and Blackburn Cafe are all you-care-to-eat facilities that accept Meal Swipes. Both locations offer an array of options and will gladly work with students to find additional options that suit their individual needs.

Bethune Annex Café is award-winning for its creative and sustainable design. The Annex features 11 exhibition cooking stations such as a Mongolian 360, made-to-order pasta, deli, plant-based vegan broth bowls, classics, rotisserie and more!

Blackburn Café, renovated in 2018, features a modern design including a stage for student events, and state of the art culinary equipment for an exceptional student dining experience. Now, you can find all-day breakfast, enhanced vegan and vegetarian options, two hand-tossed pasta stations, as well as a rotisserie and international station.

Both dining halls offer vegan items like vegan butter, cheese, desserts and jerky upon request. Gluten-free products are also available upon request!

Dining Plans

Howard University meal plans are designed specifically to meet the needs of our students and to be convenient, flexible, and loaded with options. Students receive greater value per meal with a meal plan and there’s no need to carry cash or a credit card—it’s all on your BisonCard. Our Dining Plans are designed with you in mind. If you are looking to enjoy a meal with friends or just a snack on the go – there is a plan to fit every appetite. Explore our Dining Plan options to choose the best plan for you.

Students with 60 credit hours or less that reside in a required dining plan residence hall are required to select a dining plan. Below are dining plan options for student with less than or equal to 60 credit hours:
