Howard University offers a limited amount of parking on campus for students, faculty/staff, and visitors. The university strongly encourages visitors and employees to consider alternate forms of travel when accessing campus.

Campus Parking Lots

The Office of Parking & Transportation oversees all campus parking lots. Parking on Howard University's campus is by PERMIT ONLY. Vehicles parked without a valid permit are subject to ticketing, towing (at owners expense), and or immobilization.

Visitor Parking 

Visitor parking is available on the Howard Center Lot at a rate of $12/day and $180/month. The entrance to the Howard Center Lot is located on 8th St. NW.

Permit/Parking Registration


Students

All students are encouraged to participate in the Fall 2017 parking registration. Registration will begin August 21 thru 23 beginning at 9:00 am each day until all spaces have been purchased.

  • August 21, 2017 - Seniors, Graduates and Third Year Law students (Apply Only)
  • August 22, 2017 - Juniors, Sophomores and Second Year Law Students (Apply Only)
  • August 23, 2017 - Open to all students (Excluding Freshman/Law Students)

Student Parking Lots:
Banneker North - (Across from Banneker Athletic Field)   
Banneker South - (Across from Banneker Athletic Field)                 
9th & V - (Must exit lot by 6pm)(Behind East Towers, off 9th St.)
East Towers - (Behind East Towers Residence Hall)
Drew – (Behind Drew Resident Hall, on Harvard St.)

Payment Method/Permit Price: 
Permit payments will not be accepted the day of registration. The charge for the permit will be added to your student account. Student's pay a one-time fee of $680 for both the Fall and Spring semesters. 
 
Registration instructions: 

  • Visit https://howard.t2hosted.com
  • Log-In:
           Username: Your Student ID number with the @ symbol 
           Password: Your Student ID number with the @ symbol (Default)

*If you have previously set a password for your account use the password you created. Otherwise use the default password. If you do not remember your password: Call the Parking Office to have your password reset to the default setting. (Default is your student id number with the “@” symbol) If you have never registered for parking using this website: contact the Parking Office to have an account created for you.

Blackburn University Center, Suite 150

  • August 21-25, from 9am to 3pm. 

Law School Student Lounge

  • August 28-29, from 10am to 3pm (Law School Students Only)

Requirements for Pick-up:

  • Student ID
  • Valid vehicle registration (copies will be accepted)

Temporary Parking Permits

Students attending classes prior to August 21, must purchase a summer permit to park on campus. Please contact the Parking & Transportation Office for more information.
