The Bison One Card is the official Howard University identification card and will identify you as a student or employee. All students and employees must obtain a Bison One Card and carry it at all times while on university property.
All new students, faculty, staff and contractors can obtain their Bison One Card at 2301 Georgia
Ave, Washington, DC 20059. The office is located on the first floor of the iLab (Bryant Street entrance).
For contractors to obtain a card, the sponsoring department must first submit a Contractor Information Request form to the Bison One Card Office. The form can be downloaded here 
(pdf).
There is a $10.00 replacement fee for lost or stolen cards, payable at the Cashiers Office, 2400 6th St. NW, Suite 115, Washington, DC 20059.
Using the Bison One Card
Bison Bucks
Bison Bucks is an account on the Bison One Card which allows for secure and convenient cashless spending on and off campus at many locations. It is a pre-deposited account that can be replenished by making deposits on ManageMyID.
To activate Bison Bucks, simply go to ManageMyID and register. After receiving the email and confirming registration, you’re all set to begin loading funds!
And it is easy to “load” Bison Bucks onto your card.
To deposit funds, Students can go to https://howard.managemyid.com to add funds in increments of $15 up to $500, check balances and view transaction history and statements. Parents and relatives can go to the https://howard.managemyid.com to add funds to a student’s Bison Bucks Account. Every dollar added is available to you and there are no transaction fees or minimum balances to maintain. Bison Bucks are also safe! Only you can use your Bison One Card for a transaction using Bison Bucks.

Book Vouchers
Validated students with sufficient excess funds on their account may log on to BisonWeb to request a book voucher up to $750.00 per semester.
In addition, all recipients of an athletic book voucher or a book voucher for the Howard University Freshman Scholarship Program (e.g., Founders, Laureate & Presidential Scholars) may request their vouchers online using this system as well.
Students no longer need to visit the Office of Student Accounts to request a book voucher.
To utilize this system, please note the following criteria:
- You must be validated
- You must have excess funds (or a book voucher award) on your account
- You may request a voucher up to the amount of your excess funds to a maximum of $750 per semester
- You must have a valid Bison One Card
For the Fall semester, Book Vouchers are available from Monday, August 22nd through Friday, September 30th.
Meal Plans
Meal Plans allow for the Bison Card (Howard University Identification Card) to be used at the Blackburn Student Center Cafeteria and the Bethune Annex Cafeteria for accessing meals. Each meal plan also offers Dining Dollars which can be used at on-campus dining locations.
